Bringing a new customer into Sparkfund's energy programs involves qualification, project definition, asset inventory, condition assessment, and pricing, each with its own data requirements. The portal needed to guide users through every stage without making the process feel like a maze of disconnected forms.

The core challenge was designing a system that could handle structured, multi-step intake while staying flexible enough for the variety of projects Sparkfund's partners manage.

From customer creation through credit qualification, project definition, digital asset inventory, and condition assessment, every stage needed clear progress indicators and the ability to pick up where a user left off. The intake process had to feel like one continuous journey, not a series of separate tools stitched together.

We mapped the full customer lifecycle, from first contact through proposal delivery, to find where structure could replace ambiguity.

Each stage of customer intake, qualification, project scoping, asset inventory, and condition assessment, was designed as its own guided sub-flow with clear steps and defined inputs. This structure meant teams always knew what stage a customer was in and what came next.

We designed a complete operations portal covering customer management, multi-step intake, a pricing calculator, and automated proposal generation.

The result is an end-to-end tool: add a new customer, walk through credit qualification and project definition, build a digital asset inventory with photo documentation, complete a condition assessment, and generate pricing and proposals, all from a single connected workflow built for the teams managing Sparkfund's energy programs at scale.
